About Us

Holy Cross Powder Hounds is a volunteer snowmobile club located in the Vail Valley of Colorado.  Our club exists to help preserve riding areas for the great sport of snowmobiling, as well as, increasing awareness and providing activities and special events for club members.  Our club operates on funds that are raised from membership fees as well as assistance from the CSA (Colorado Snowmobile Association).  We are a grooming snowmobile club and maintain an area of the White River National Forest to the North of Vail through Wolcott.

We'd love to have you join us! Check out our membership sign-up.

About Our Name

Mount of the Holy Cross is a mountain of the Rocky Mountains in the state of Colorado. It was named for the distinctive cross-s
haped snowfield on the northeast face. The mountain was formerly a U.S. National Monument but lost that status in 1950 when the cross formation had lost much of its distinction due to erosion and rock slides.
